Scott Williams, owner of Abstract & Title Co. of Mesa County, created Rocky Mountain Exchange in 1992 after multiple requests were made by area realtors to facilitate delayed exchanges. Scott had performed a number of simultaneous exchanges while managing an escrow branch in Santa Cruz, CA. He did some research and started attending seminars and quickly became the local authority on exchanges in Western Colorado. Our goal is to carry forward innovative thinking to assist our clients on every level, whether it is to simply answer your inquiry, take advantage of the Section 1031 Internal Revenue Code by deferring capital gain taxes until a future date or to gain a better understanding of the vague and sometimes misunderstood definitions of this tax code. Rocky Mountain Exchange Company, LLC is located in Grand Junction, Colorado in the Sherwood Plaza. Because every 1031 exchange is unique we specialize in customized service.
